Bayern will not sign a contract with Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo, writes German Sport1.
Allegedly, the representatives of the 37-year-old Portuguese offered the Munich club to bring the famous striker, because he is dissatisfied with the situation at Manchester United and wants to win trophies.
However, it is noted that the management of the Bavarians rejected that proposal, because the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo would destroy the salary structure in the club. At the same time, the Munich giant does not want to have a player in the team who puts his interests above the interests of the club.
In the end, the sports director Hasan Salihamidžić also spoke:
“Cristiano Ronaldo is an amazing player with a great career, but the stories about a potential transfer to Bayern are not true.”
Cristiano Ronaldo had a good personal performance last season, but he did not help United achieve more notable success. He scored 24 goals and recorded three assists in 38 matches for the Red Devils in all competitions.
Manchester United took a disappointing sixth place in the Premier League last season.
Earlier, it was announced that the Portuguese is disappointed due to the inferior business of Manchester United on the transfer market and that he is considering leaving. He has a contract with the club until June 30, 2023.
